MEET THE
GAME
MASTER

Hi! I’m Shyann & I'm just your average spellcaster! 🧙‍♀️

 

If you could look back to 2008, you'd see an awkward group of high school theater nerds with the Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition Adventure Game gathered behind the school's stage curtain. There weren't enough premade characters to go around, so a girl with square-rimmed glasses picked up the Adventure Book to guide her friends through the story. That was me. Since then, I've been entrusted with the mantle of "Game Master."

Over the years, my background in theater and improv has shaped my storytelling style, and my work as a front-end developer has led me to curate the ultimate virtual tabletop experience. I’m also a growing game designer who loves creating adventures, mechanics, and systems, then integrating and developing those creations with code in Foundry VTT.

The absolute legend.
In all of my years I have never had a GM so dedicated to the player experience, never once have I come out of a session and wanted for more. The perpetual gift that keeps on giving. We're almost at our 1 year and it's been the most memorable campaign I've ever been in. Been playing for over 12 years now and I feel as though I've found the peak.

I use the Rule of Cool reward creative play, but keep all mechanical options relevant.

I turn lore into something that feels lived in by adding your character's personal quest into the main plot.

I believe the best moments come from players finding their way out of trouble once they’ve landed in it.

I love combat and aim to include it in almost every session when it makes narrative sense.
